19th Century Flute and Guitar Duo

19th Century Flute and Guitar Duo

“The two work well together, and even have a kind of duo choreography that is evident as the music seems to move through them.”

Jeffrey James Arts Consulting

The Italian duo “De Felice-Arata” performs with great passion and energy music for flute and guitar from the early 19th century with original instruments. The duo’s intent is to bring back the typical sounds of that era using the right reading key, with a look to the past and one to the present. Both musicians graduated with the highest marks and praise at the G.Verdi conservatory in Turin, specializing in performing classical and early romantic music on period instruments. For several years the duo has performed in numerous concerts throughout Italy, also playing for national television. Giulio De Felice plays on a 8-key August Grenser nineteenth-century flute, Cristiano Arata plays on a romantic guitar Gaetano Guadagnini (1822).
